the amazing X

We have an extraordinary friend
who earned great nicknames like
The Ace of Space
and
by connecting people around the world
through storytelling.
Though he died of leukemia in 2000,
he still unexpectedly crosses our path
in the most amazing ways.

I was fooling around with a piece of Uart
when BAM!,
just like that, an X appeared.

Thanks, Ace.

(If you scroll down to the campfire at the very end,
you'll see that this blog is dedicated to him.)

Your friend must have been eXtraordinary to be worthy of the letter "X" and this is a beautiful painting that makes me think of transcendence.

Really beautiful painting.

I love these kinds of messages.

Beautiful piece but more beautiful the thoughts of a friend and loss and the sweet remembrance of what supports everything else.

Well you never know Sam.. there are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio.. is that how it goes? Anyroad, a flippin great painting you've done there girl. Your hand was guided (and if it wasn't Ace it was your intuition).
