wild eyes

This handsome guy never took his eyes off of me until...

the sun set and his girlfriend finally showed up for their date.

A red fox!!

I am so envious. There used to be a den on my land several years ago - but no more. They are such beautiful animals...

Congrats on the great photo.

They're very beautiful indeed; I'm always thrilled when they show up. I hesitate to tell you this, but they're here because they eat mice, squirrels, and cats. Yes, cats. Jala, for one, is not thrilled. Lucky cats live indoors.

Wow, how cool! Yep, you're right, I'm not thrilled only bcs of my cats...but my cats do not stay indoors, as you know.
I am starting to think you are going to be seeing some adorable little red kits this spring...

Great photos Sam. I too love the red fox and I protect all my city cats indoors.

Cats? Cats !!!

Perhaps the foxes where you are are larger than the local specimens. The foxes hereabouts are seldom any larger than a cat. They usually install dens near the huge chicken farms where they can grab live - or freshly dead (yuck) birds as they are discarded. So going after one of my cats is low on their list...

And besides, the Pyrs won't allow any trespassers.
