Life could be worse.

You could be one of my toes.
I jammed the big one on an uneven sidewalk;
I should sue the city.
I dropped a bottle on the middle one;
I should sue Pellegrino.

I should watch my step.

...And wear steel toed shoes. Ouch!

Does this mean you'll have more time to make art? Maybe you'll even get waited on.

You don't get slack for stupid, let alone waited on.

Oh, you poor thing! Toes are small, but you realize what a big job they have when you hurt one. And you've hurt TWO! Look before you leap and don't leap without making sure that the ground is level. Aaargh. You using ice?

Calamity Sam got a pedicure, and the nail's okay. I took a long hike this morning; the toe is ugly but works just fine.

Never underestimate the restorative powers of ice, Traumeel, Advil and groaning.

I would be very happy to have this pretty foot--even injured..it is a good foot. I have that horrible morton's toe thing, where my 2nd toe is longer than the first. Strangely, that was once a sign of "beauty" (Michaelangelo). I like yours sooo much better. lol. get better soon.

Poor poor toe toe! (that's the baby talk I would use with my dogs, so you should feel flattered)

Little by little, we are seeing your whole body in photos, albeit in pieces.

Celeste,
Glad you think my foot's cute; there's plenty of it. But I have no complaints about any part that works.

Jala,
One busted piece at a time.

It would be worse if it was winter and you had to stuff that poor swollen digit into heavy boots.

I shall be your sister in feet, having stubbed my second toe on a hidden outcropping while entering the water. I think I fractured it. Still hurts, nothing you can do for it except, blog and as you say, groan.

I'll send you a photo.

The thought of boots is sick! Owowow! Thankfully, it's sandal season.

Tape your busted toe to its neighbor. The security is comforting.
