sundance

Nobody naps like a dog.

Sundance

This is dedicated to this proud old guy,
who at age 12 wasn't too old to go out on a toot today
in dogged pursuit of a girl.
Then we "rescued" him and called his mother.
I bet he's sleeping well tonight,
and I bet he's pissed at us.

Nice painting. I suspect Sundance has a clear conscience--or no conscience. He'll sleep well, and dream of the chase.

He's already dreaming of his next getaway, in search of a new girl!

Wow Sam, isn't that so true. Just love this painting - and good on you fellah, sometimes we have to escape and go a bit crazy.

Better to be pissed off than pissed on. To be pissed at.......?
Nice painting. He has great weight. I like the big size on a small scale.

Yes, it's a big little painting. Ol' Sundance is an oaf. I'd guess he weighs in at 90 pounds -- at least.

Where did Sundance come from? And who was the lass he was after?

lovely painting. I love looking at Sundance at his eye level.

My dog doesn't like other dogs. Too bad. I would send her to visit Sundance.

I don’t think I ever saw a more expressive portrait of a dog! – or of a man, woman or child, even. You’ve really caught the sense of yearning in this magnificent old trooper.

What a wonderful portrait! You've captured the peaceful contentment known only to dogs (and perhaps infants, if they're sleeping, lol). Beautiful.
