repeat

Last September 5th, almost 6 months ago to the day,
the infamous Lefthand fire started just west of Boulder.
I did this painting on my iPhone back then.
It seems like yesterday.

That fire was a horror, but it didn't burn everything.
Unlike most of you, we've had a dead-dry winter,
and the wind is howling 79 mph.
So here we go again...

I believe it was six months ago that I discovered your blog. I remember the fires and the bears. When I saw this on my sidebar, I thought it looked like today's photos of the tsunami.

My thoughts are filled with fires, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, and power plant meltdowns. Be safe.

Oh, gosh! When the winds howl across dry acres it's a fright! We used to hose down our roof during fire season when I lived in California. Stay safe. 100% agree about Japan!

A very descriptive painting of fire.
It would appear to be accurate for Japan as well
Those poor people, how devastating and unbelievable.
Hard to watch on TV.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for rain, snow or some type of precipitation that will quiet the fears of more fires.
I know they were very close last year. Be safe Sam.

One thing about a tsunami that takes out so many people ....it makes one think about how minor their own problems are. It makes me feel stupid for complaining about anything! Your visual has that feeling of "urgency" ...in a New York minute, everything can change.

Saw on CNN that the fire is contained? I hope that is so. I can't believe two fires in the same area in the same year.

Let's see. Earthquakes. Tsunamis. Fires. Floods. So scary. Oh, and nuclear reactors malfunctions. Sigh.

Your painting is brilliant.

Mother Nature never lets much time go by before reminding us she always bats last, does she? I hope your fire is contained and the winds calm down soon.

Keeping my fingers crossed for no meltdown in the Fukushima plant as well.

Great energy in your latest iPhone creation - love the colors.

Then there is Japan.

Wow--you don't think about having forest fires in March--in Colorado especially! Glad it's out. Scary times...heart-rending images on TV.
