sunrise


As the sun rose a week ago,
a light snow from the night before
dusted the stones and frosted the fence.
It melted on the patent leather pavement,
and the tulips flushed.

The first dogwalk of the day happens at dawn.
While listening to music on my iPhone, I occasionally use it to take pictures. I never talk on the phone.

Love the warm light on the wood fence -- beautiful scenes are a great payback for early morning dogwalks. I watch the sun rise just for the heck of it, but today more rain. Ugh!
