Once a great while, airplane-riding is still a thrill. This whole flight was spectacular. To escape the hurricane, we flew high enough to see black space and the curvature of the earth. I took tons of pictures and some video. But when lightning bolts and that huge rainbow dropped out of the bottom of a thundercloud, all I could do is gape.
The trees are shrouded in the dense and silent humidity before the storm.
I am Sam Hannaway, and I share this blog with the dogs in my life. Being creative soothes my soul, so I write when I have something to say, paint when words don't cut it and try to follow the dogs' advice with grace. They say to keep it simple.

You know I'm in like with these. Outstanding--thrilling to see the cloudscape!
