was feeling flush after selling well at Open Studios,
so she generously ripped off some samples of Uart
and gave them to me.
I can't make myself just slap on some color
and did this little number.

I'm good at following directions; I visited Jala. It's hard to believe this painting is so small; it's great.
Casey Klahn recommendedn Uart in his workshop here, so I bought some. I finally tested mine and loved the smooth but toothy surface and the way the Sienna ground made my colors sing in a different key. Your piece is playful and full of the joy of your exploration!

This was a fun, loose and willy-nilly kind of sketch. Green and blue hair? No problem!
Uart is great stuff. This was 800-grit. I also have 600, 500 and 400 to try. Fun!
Thanks for the shout-out. Glad you're enjoying playing with the UArt. I mostly love it, though I get a few weird effects I don't like sometimes (I think Loriann, talking about a different brand, called it an "orange-peel effect." But when I do get it (and it seems random), I'm learning how to try to make use of it (if you can't beat 'em, join 'em).
