This reminds me so much of a Chesapeake I watched, the dog of fishermen who went out early in the morning and left the dog on the beach. He barked and barked and barked and dragged every stick he could find, hoping that someone would throw it into the water for him to chase. Love the strong blue in this one. I want to throw a stick for him!
Love the blues in this one! Strong composition, too!
Just wanted to add that the Boulder blogger sites must be malfunctioning or something because neither yours nor Jala's sites will load for me this last couple days.
I am Sam Hannaway, and I share this blog with the dogs in my life. Being creative soothes my soul, so I write when I have something to say, paint when words don't cut it and try to follow the dogs' advice with grace. They say to keep it simple.

I absolutely love this--it grabs me with its strength and seeming simplicity; one of the best paintings I've seen in a while.

Some dogs work smarter, not harder.

Thanks. You're very generous.

Yes, Shelley--
Things have seemed a little flakey. I assume it's these dark dark days. Seems okay now though.
