up from the pasture

Again, not a good photo, but I'm out of time.
And patience.

Resolution: fix camera setup.

Was there a photograph of a similar spot earlier on your blog? I thought I remembered one called "heat" but couldn't find it--I didn't go all the way back to your beginning.

These are great shadows.

Bingo, Hallie! November 29, 2010. One of my favorite pics from the ranch.

Damn, this painting is a gorgeous beast!!
The scene looks really familiar. Did you do it before, or...?
Acrylic, I'm guessing?

Clarification on "pics from the ranch"... the previous post was a photo taken with my iPhone. This is the first painting (acrylic) I've posted. It's a beautiful spot, so I've also done sketches and pastels.

Love it! The shadow's just right and the heat rises off that land.

Hallie has the best memory of all!

very nice composition. Relating to the last post, now let's decide White tail or Mulie(Mule deer). I'm guessing Mulie but there are whitetails by the creek bottoms... What do you think Casey? Need to see more tracks..... i love field biology...

I finally know the answer to this one, Brian. I think. Whitetails rule the river.

The negative shapes in the tree are great. I also think you did a wonderful job on the light passage. Glad to find your blog!
