Climate shock.
When we left Honolulu yesterday,
Hawaii was, well, Hawaii.
Beautiful, benign and balmy.
By the time the plane landed,
Denver was buried by the biggest February snow in history.
First you play, and then you pay.
Mother Nature is a twisted sister.

What great photos! And what a giant contrast! Both are beautiful!! Welcome home.
Thanx, Kvan. I find it quite shocking that the two photos were taken only 12 hours apart. Teleportation in our own time, so to speak.
Nohh.. johan on... Palmut ja täysi talvi lumen kanssa.
Kyllä on hieno sarja...!

Bummer to come home to all that snow. Hawaii looked amazing. Crazy how you can go from warm to crazy snow in such a short time.
I though of you each time Colorado weather was shown on TV. I guess the white carpet was spread for your return. Beautiful palm tree.
Not really a bummer. Both places are made more beautiful by the other.
I know I said, no palm trees or rainbows. But that's a little like no sugar in the candy factory. You could do it, but why bother?
I agree. I LOVE SNOW. Rarely see it anymore now that i'm a Florida snowbird, but I've never been anywhere that I didn't appreciate the beauty of place.
Wow what a shock! Welcome home Sam!
