Love the uniform matness and subtle tonal colours the medium lends itself to. But we must not forget it is your good self who is choosing those colours and shapes. This one just works. I don't feel personally drawn to trying it myself yet but I am very interested in seeing what others are up to.
I am Sam Hannaway, and I share this blog with the dogs in my life. Being creative soothes my soul, so I write when I have something to say, paint when words don't cut it and try to follow the dogs' advice with grace. They say to keep it simple.

Thanks, Celeste. I didn't know if that green worked. I trust your eye!

Absolutely beautiful--love the colors. We'll wait for the dream of Maine.
That's funny; I live in Maine, and every December I dream of having a boulder dropped on me.

I don't know this band...I listened to some of the song on YouTube. I always learn something new on your blog! Very nice painting.
