Someone thought my life would be better
with a new computer.
It wasn't.
Now I'm hopelessly trying to restore
the innards of my old one.
Hey, the good news is that
I can finally read your posts again,
and for what it's worth,
you can read mine.
I've missed you all.
Sorry to have lost so much time;
Life is short.

Everytime I stare at my hopelessly frozen computer, I wonder what was so wrong with papyrus and stone tablets....
Happy Thanksgiving, and welcome back!
Thanks, Kevin.
Really... gimme a chisel and a rock.
Glad you're back!
Dealing with same problem, new computer without software I love, old computer requiring some TLC from a technician.
Wondered where you were! Welcome back!
Thanks, Andrea and Shelley.
Surfing the surface only, though. Still no email and who knows what else.
The cheese has gone. New computers are ALWAYS a pain (until they become old computers). So be patient with it dear.
I hate new stuff. My "new" desktop is almost two years old--and I still hate it. Welcome back.
Glad you're back. I always have problems with new technology. Did the mouse inside the cheese get out and get inside your new computer?
Oh God, techno hell....nothing worse. So glad you are back. Missed you and your cleverness!
Good advice, Sheila, but too late; it's gone for now.
I feel better.
And, as for the rest of you...
That was a really swell pity party, y'all!
Just what we all need now and then.
Thanks!
By the way, 6 comments... 6 fellow sufferers.
TECHNOPHOBES UNITE!!!.
Welcome back, Sam! I hate new computers!
