Stories of blind artists fascinate me. Stripped of their sight, they seem to paint directly from their souls.
My eyes are okay. Not as good as they were, but giving valuable lessons in patience and flexibility. Sheesh.

Glad to hear your eyes are hanging in there. I hope the "corneal specialist" was helpful. I got valuable lessons in patience, too, with my eyes lately. I could not read with my right eye (which ironically was my "good eye" before cataract surgery!) and at the end of the day, my eyes just ached from the strain of trying to read labels, email, and such. No books. My husband said, "don't read anything then." "Right. You try it," I said to him.
Then finally, passed the one-month checkup and the proper prescription glasses were being made. And it took them three weeks to get them to me! Argghhh. Finally got them and now I am "getting use to them." Sigh. Did I say patience was not my strong suit?
Shelley, I wish being Mainers, artists and bloggers were all we had in common. But NO! We also both had formerly great right eyes, wrong-headed husbands and a fair amount of impatience. And similarly lousy karma. I.e., my new lenses were somehow lost mid-delivery between here and Denver.
I'm currently enjoying a psychic break. Had to.
Next step... one contact.

Yes! I had just the one (in my case, glasses) lens for lo these many weeks! Eye doc just shrugged it off, saying, oh, people cope, you'll get through it. I guess I did, but it wasn't fun! I can't believe YOUR lenses got lost in shipping purgatory! Uh, Denver isn't that far from you... go figure! But I am now doing much better. Hope your are, too. And promise not to complain any more. For now. Lol.
