lost and found

My mother has been asking me to go upstairs to see the oil pastel I did for my parents back in the early 80s. On our visit to Maine last week, I finally went up and saw this next to the bath tub. It was wearing dirty glass in one of my telltale cruddy frame jobs, so I gave it a squirt of Windex and took a quick shot with my iPhone.

Not bad.

It's bright and cheery. A happy painting and fun to see your work from 20 years ago! Welcome back!

I'm impressed. It's fun to look back, isn't it, to see all the talent there and the promise of more to come?

Welcome back! Hope you had a wonderful time.

Katherine--
Bright and cheery, indeed. Youth is like that.

Melinda--
It often shocks me to see where I was and what I was doing.

Celeste--
Not having any way to post drove me a little nuts. At least I found evidence of previous activity.

Loriann--
Vintage is such a classy way of saying aged, you nice person.

Thanks to you all for checking in. Maine was Maine to the nth. Cheap lobster and the weather was perfect... sunny when it should be, plus a perfect dose of pea soup fog.
But, boy is it great to be back in the studio brewing up more toil and trouble!

Wow, so interesting to see where you've been (artistically) and where you are now.
I think you need to post some of your paintings that are in your house, too, by the way--the black women ones. People will be amazed.

Thanks, Jala. I've been meaning to give the sisters some airtime.

Yes, we ( I ) want to see the sisters.
Isn't it a hoot to look at what you forgot about, forgot you even did, and to be able to critique it by saying not bad.
Lost and found indeed.
Any other relatives or friends attics you can poke through?

not bad at all! Love all the colors. But the bathroom? Really?

This needs to be front and center, over the sofa.
