When I first saw this I thought lovely cows, bucolic, pastoral, grass, butter. When I looked again, more closely and saw that they were horses grazing, I thought – sexy. And if they’d been sheep, I’d have thought, aren’t they darling. Aside from that it’s a beautiful setting, enough to make you an agnostic or a landscape painter.
I only got to choose to stay one more day. The last golden day of autumn on the ranch. Garrett and I hiked to the top of Rabbit Mountain this morning. It was glorious. But it is Monday... Mundane Monday. Another week takes hold. Tomorrow we lose 20 degrees and it rains, and by Thursday it snows. Ack.
I am Sam Hannaway, and I share this blog with the dogs in my life. Being creative soothes my soul, so I write when I have something to say, paint when words don't cut it and try to follow the dogs' advice with grace. They say to keep it simple.

Wherever that is, it looks beatiful and peaceful. Rather be there than on the 2 train.
