I'm as much of a heathen as anyone,
so I regret not staying up to see
the totality of the eclipse on the solstice.
But I did see the moon rise that night.

heehee. The photo is stunning. OMG
I agree -- stunning!! Isn't it OMD?
I actually saw the same moon that night and took photos! We had too many clouds so the eclipse was not visible here in VA. (I was asleep, anyway, at 3 a.m.) I agree with loriann--your photo is stunning.
Great photo! The moon is the party girl. See her shine in her finery. Little does she know that she will be eclipsed later that night.
Word verif: trinnomb ... what the guy said after they unstuck his tongue from the flag pole!
my word verification is tonizi..which is what I want to pour in my glass as I sit on my front porch taking in this beautiful moon....delectable photo!
If you drink enough tonzinis, you might do something like lick a flagpole. This is apparently a custom in the Northwest. Must be all that rain.
I couldn't stay up either. (too old) but the moon was fantastic. Love your photo of the moon and the trees.
