Sam, don't quite know how I got here - through Jala's blog I think. So first I see these voluminous boobs in the sky, then I see a large, bruised big toe -- but then I see -- an amazing painting of trees and a comment from Jala about you being my love child?? or the painting being the love child of me and some Wolf guy. Figures. I think. I'll be back.
My Great Grand Dad, used to tell me ... You get down in the storm cellar fast, them's tornado clouds coming.
So down I would go in the Michigan basement, dirt floor, blind puppies and canned meat. My GGD would walk into the living room, pull up his Lincoln rocker and wait for it to come for him.
He died of old age ... I think he would have been happier if an E-5 got him
DD This is hilarious! It makes me laugh hard even though today it hailed golfballs to baseballs a foot deep in Denver, tornadoes were thick to the east and now at 9:45 it's eerily humid and way too silent. What, me worry?
Loriann This is one of the photos I took of that monster storm on May 18th. The name is for real. Or at least scientific.
I am Sam Hannaway, and I share this blog with the dogs in my life. Being creative soothes my soul, so I write when I have something to say, paint when words don't cut it and try to follow the dogs' advice with grace. They say to keep it simple.

Photo or painting? Either way I like the name. Sorry about your foot.

It's a tie.
mammatus clouds! I am VERY jealous!
Micah, careful what you wish for; mammatus clouds rarely come without consequences. I see you paint lively clouds. Why not try some of these?
