fearless art

The best art is done while traveling fearlessly in and out of perfection.

Actually, I wouldn't know, but I suspect it's true. Besides, it sounded so wicked good when I made a similar comment today to Casey Klahn about his fearless pastels, I thought I'd get some additional mileage out of it here. Feel free to quote me; it's worth what you paid for it. Bargain at the price.

By the way, I think Casey is fearless when he slaps Turpenoid on Sennelier La Carte paper as a way to reclaim the tender stuff, but yikes! I'm still too chicken to try it.

float this quote

I've added some more blogs I like. Susan Cornelis had this quote in hers the other day. It's worth repeating.

"When you start working, everybody is in your studio – the past, your friends, your enemies, the art world, and above all your own ideas – all are there. But as you continue painting they start to leave, one by one and you are left completely alone. Then if you are lucky, even you leave."
-Philip Guston

As soon as I get back, I plan to post some pictures.
If there's anything cheaper than talk, it's plans.
