caballo blanco

Update:

First I painted and posted this, then the news came out.

I thought I should change the title.

 Boulder ultra-runner Micah True,
a.k.a. Caballo Blanco,
 was last seen on Tuesday
at the Gila Wilderness Lodge in Gila, New Mexico.
The best-selling book, "Born to Run", recounts
Micah's time running the Copper Canyon in Mexico
with the Tarahumara Indians.
Four days later, there still is no sign of him.
The search continues.

Love the painting, the horse is just a suggestion in the distance. Subtle and beautiful. Sad to know that the ultrarunner is still missing ... good news doesn't often come after 4 days.

Micah's body was found yesterday at the cliff dwellings. No signs of trauma.
It's pure coincidence that I posted this painting of the caballo blanco yesterday. I'm glad I did.

Nice painting.
What happened to the runner? Heart attack??

I haven't heard the coroner's results. I assume Steph and Peter were True friends. Big memorial cum run at Chautaqua on Friday.

I merely looked at this and was blown away ...It is absolutely beautiful...I thought it was an oil..and was delighted that any medium can look so buttery and gorg
