upland

I used the drawcast app on my iPhone
to build this upland in three parts.

 Which do you prefer?

joe

Our good friend Joe Kennedy,
archeologist extraordinaire of all things Polynesian,
especially all things Hawaiian,
died in his sleep a month ago.

Considering Joe's larger-than-lifestyle,
my portrait is not exactly a likeness.
But it's close enough to remind me of him.

Besides, he'd be glad to see the pounds gone.

hot cold push pull

Am I holding things up
or being hauled up?

Now that I think of it,
this is a better illustration of me
trying to be cool in this insane heat.
Ack!

postcards from the edge

This nifty new iPhone app, DrawCast, offers to send
your art via email, share it on Twitter, post it on Facebook,
or print and send it as a real postcard.
As far as I can tell, they offer nothing to us bloggers.
Hrrrumph!

So last night I did this one
and sent it as a Mother's Day postcard
to you-know-who.

P.S. This lack of respect for all things Blogger
is getting on my last nerve.
I expect that by the time I really figure out blogging,
it (or I) will be g-g-g-gone.
Might as well send your postcards
while there's still a post office.
Hrrrumph!

new toy

Uh oh.
Blogger's been fooling around with the equipment,
and everything's changed with the setup.
Have you noticed, or is it just me?

Coincidentally, I've also gotten a new iPhone art app.
It's called DrawCast and seems to be
smarter than either me or the dogs.
As it should be with any medium worth doing,
I doubt that we'll ever achieve mastery.
Here's our very first stab at it.

And then...
